Crassula Ovata (Jade Plant) or Lucky money tree is an evergreen succulent with lustrous, plumply jade to dark green leaves suitable for both indoor and outdoor planting.

This sturdy plant is easy to grow and maintain. Being a native to South Africa and Mozambique the Crassula is resistant to tough climatic conditions like scarcity of water, dry soil and high temperatures. It is noted to be undisturbed by extreme weather changes and still have green foliage. Too much watering is not advisable as it may lead to root rot.
